Julie joined the Gold Coast Sports Medicine Team to quench her thirst for work / life balance… and with the ‘work’ element at GCSMR being busy and dynamic, she believes she has found the perfect balance here! Julie comes to us with a diverse working background spanning many sectors and industries; from managing community based child care centres and training organisations in her 20’s, managing sensitive and emerging policy environments in the public sector in her 30’s, to owning / managing her own 200 seat steakhouse restaurant in her 40’s.
More recently though, since arriving on the Gold Coast from Canberra in 2015, and now in her 50’s, Julie has assisted a number of Allied Health practices in their business processes both as Practice Manager and Administration support.
She also manages her partners live music solo, duo and band marketing and promotions!
On the ‘life’ side of things, Julie has raised 5 children into adulthood and as a reward purchased a campervan last year (named LIVIN) and plans to schedule road trip getaways with her partner, his music gear and her puppies, all while and balancing this with work at the GCSMR clinic.
