And just for fun…

Growing up in Canada, Shanelle moved to the Gold Coast to pursue her career attaining a Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University in 2025, on the background of a Bachelor of Science with a Specialisation in Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2021.

Throughout her studies, Shanelle was fortunate enough to have placements extending from Cairns to Tweed Heads in several areas including musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, women’s health and community rehabilitation. The wide variety of placements helped her to develop efficient communication and teamwork skills by working alongside other members of a multidisciplinary team and advocating for her patients.

Shanelle prioritises attending to patients with individual and evidence- based care to improve their quality of life and build meaningful connections. She loves working in the community with our elderly clients to improve/maintain their functional capabilities and get in a good chat.  She hopes to continue to develop skills in women’s health to help empower women throughout their lifespan.
