Women’s Health Physiotherapy

Welcome to the home of The Fanny Physio! Dr Sarah Mattin is loud and proud about making the lives of every single woman better whether that’s support through pregnancy, helping your body get ready for labour, making pooping a pleasurable experience, supporting the changes we got through during menopause, or helping you have cocktails with the girls — without peeing your pants!

Women’s bodies are remarkable, they’re forever changing throughout our lives. From childhood, pregnancy, menstruation to menopause. Gold Coast Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation have a supportive team of women’s health therapists who are passionate about supporting you on life’s journey!

We provide hands on treatment and advice for a wide range of women’s health conditions. Whether you are experiencing pain during pregnancy, suffering from a pelvic disorder, struggling with embarrassing leaks, or training for your first marathon, we provide a safe and understanding environment with an integrated approach to get you back to feeling your wonderfully womanly self!

So often women tolerate uncomfortable realities where they don’t need to. Pelvic floor challenges affect more than 40% of women. Tell-tale signs include urge incontinence (not making to the loo in time), stress incontinence (an embarrassing leak after a sneeze or laughing), waking up 15 times a night for a wee, or one of the most common, visiting the ladies’ room almost as frequently as you breathe! Our women’s health physios have trained extensively in Australia, Canada, and America to bring you the very best treatment options available worldwide to get your pelvic floor working the way it was designed.

We are Australia’s First Pelvic Floor Acupuncture Clinic and have tricks that are unique to our clinic, like pelvic floor electro-acupuncture (neuromodulation)! This is an absolute game changer and must-try when you feel you’ve already tried it all. Ā  Neuromodulation is a way of talking to your nerves and muscles in their own language. It’s a highly effective way of making the muscles of the pelvic floor ā€˜hear’ the message and work better! See ourĀ physiotherapy pageĀ to learn more about some of the other techniques we use.
